TAP.

Disclosure

AI transparency.

TAP uses AI as a production tool, not as an excuse to lower the standard of evidence.

Where AI may be used

AI tools may assist with research organization, headline variants, draft structure, copy editing, summaries, code, data formatting, diagrams, illustrations, social adaptations and workflow automation.

What AI is not allowed to replace

AI output is not treated as evidence. TAP should not knowingly publish invented quotations, fabricated statistics, fake sources or unverified current facts because an AI system produced them confidently.

Claims about fast-moving events should be checked against current reliable sources before publication.

Images

TAP uses a mix of original editorial graphics, diagrams, data visuals and other appropriately sourced media. A realistic synthetic depiction that could reasonably be mistaken for documentary evidence of a real event or person should be labeled as AI-generated or altered.

Stylized diagrams and clearly illustrative graphics are treated as editorial artwork, not documentary photography.

Responsibility

The publication remains responsible for what it publishes regardless of which tools were used to make it. “The AI did it” is not a correction policy.
